On the 62nd floor of the round Hopewell Centre skyscraper there is an amazing panoramic restaurant, and dining there can become an unusual culinary adventure.
The restaurant rotates, completing a full circle in 1.5 hours, so over dinner you will see all of Hong Kong, its surroundings, and picturesque corners from above, and more than once. The magic begins with the exterior elevator: in a completely transparent glass shaft, guests ascend in it “into the sky” in a matter of seconds.
An incredible view opens up from above. Try to come here in clear weather to fully enjoy the scenery. It is especially beautiful in the evening, when the city lights come on. However, we advise you to hurry: around midnight the kitchen in the restaurant stops working, and it turns into an ordinary bar.
Meanwhile, the local culinary masterpieces are worth trying; there is nothing like them anywhere else. The restaurant's chef is a famous maestro in the culinary world, a multiple winner of the renowned Michelin guide, Paco Roncero, nicknamed the “alchemist”.
He is an adherent of molecular cuisine, a fashionable and sought-after trend in which physicochemical processes are taken into account when preparing food. There are no huge portions or fatty dishes here. The menu consists exclusively of delicate, rare, and refined combinations. How about, for example, this: raspberries stuffed with wasabi or molecular lobster puree? Don't miss the chance to try it, book a table for the evening!
