Olympic Tower, erected in 1968, is located within the park built in the north of Munich specifically for the 1972 Summer Olympics. From two observation decks — an open-air one and an enclosed one — at a height of 190 meters, a unique view opens over the surrounding areas — not only the city and its outskirts, but in good weather even the Alps, located 40 km from here.
At the top of Olympic Tower, in addition to the observation deck, there is a Michelin-starred restaurant. This place is especially valued for the fact that from here you can see the entire Olympic complex: the park, the village, the lake, and Olympic Mountain. The latter appeared here after the Second World War, having formed from the debris of various structures left after the war. Its height is 564 meters, and this mountain is considered one of Munich's most significant elevations.
The height of Olympic Tower is more than 291 meters. It should be remembered that in bad weather, when visibility is poor, admission to the observation deck may be closed.
