Attractions of Munich
1. Frauenkirche – the city's iconic symbol, a tall and majestic cathedral built in the 15th century.

2. The Alte Pinakothek houses masterpieces of German, Dutch, Flemish, French, Italian, and Spanish painting from the 14th to 18th centuries, including Leonardo da Vinci's Madonna with a Carnation.
3. The Neue Pinakothek stands opposite the Alte and covers art of the 19th–20th centuries, including Van Gogh's famous Sunflowers and Manet's Luncheon on the Grass.
4. BMW Museum. This complex is worth visiting even if you're not a fan of the German car brand. The exhibitions are so original and captivating that even Ferrari fans will walk around slack-jawed ;)

8. Munich Residenz was the seat of the powerful Wittelsbach dynasty. The city-centre complex encompasses palace museums representing a range of architectural eras and styles.

9. Olympic Park was built for the 1972 Summer Olympics. The observation tower offers sweeping views of the city and surrounding region.

10. Nymphenburg, one of Europe's most beautiful palace complexes, was built for the Bavarian dukes in the 17th century. Beyond the grand palace, the estate includes three smaller pavilions and a magnificent park with a botanical garden.
