The metal Branca Tower stands in the very center of Milan, in Sempione Park. This structure, made entirely of steel tubes, was erected in 1933 as an addition to the fifth Triennale exhibition. The tower was designed by Ettore Ferrari, Gio Ponti, and Cesare Chiodi, who completed the work in just three months. At that time, the tower was called Torre Littoria.
In 1972, the structure was closed for renovation, which lasted 30 years and was funded by the winemaking company Fratelli Branca. It was in honor of this company that the tower received its new name after reopening in 2002.

Branca Tower attracts great interest from the residents and visitors of Milan because at its top there is a glazed observation deck offering a stunning view of the city, with the Italian Alps as its backdrop. An elevator is built into the 108-meter Milan tower, taking visitors to the observation deck in just a minute and a half.
