Milan's most popular nightclub is located in the northern part of the city and bears the name of the American prison Alcatraz. Its exterior fully lives up to the name - the club is housed in a former gray station building, with bars on the windows, and looks more like an abandoned workshop or hangar. But despite this, young people from all over Italy line up in huge queues on weekends to pass the face control and have a great time here.
Every Friday and Saturday the club hosts live concerts, including performances by world-class stars: Limp Bizkit, Guano Apes, The Kooks, and many others. Two large dance floors, which can hold up to two thousand people, are filled with fans of completely different styles of music – rock, alternative, rap, reggae... On different days of the week you can get to all kinds of themed parties. For example, on Wednesday Alcatraz gathers lovers of Cuban and Jamaican music, on Friday pop parties are held, go-go dancer shows take place, and collections by young designers are showcased.
Music lovers value the club for what they claim is the best acoustics in all of Italy. Alcatraz's cocktail menu is considered one of the best in Milan - some tourists even come here специально to try some exotic drink and enjoy excellent music.
