Gelendzhik Embankment lays claim to a world record in the category "The World's Longest Seafront Embankment." Its length is 14 kilometers, and the city authorities are not going to stop there, planning to extend it all the way to Golubaya Dolina.
A most pleasant atmosphere for strolling has been created on the embankment. You can admire the blue Black Sea over the snow-white balustrade while walking along neat alleys in the shade of old Pitsunda pines. The landscape design of the surroundings is impressive: literally every meter of land is planted with colorful and patterned flower beds, ornamental shrubs, and palm trees. All this beauty grows and fills the air with fragrance from spring until autumn itself, delighting the eye and filling the air with sweet aromas.
There are many interesting monuments, fountains, gazebos, and other beautiful sights on the embankment. Convenient descents to the sea are arranged everywhere, so if you get tired of walking, you can refresh yourself at any moment. For the most relaxed walkers in the center, cycle rickshaws offer their services, taking you for a breezy ride along the sea while telling stories about the city.
In the central area, excursions depart from the embankment - both sea trips on motor ships and yachts, and automobile tours around the picturesque surroundings and attractions.
In the evenings, the trees are illuminated by thousands of lights, music plays everywhere, and dozens of cafes hospitably set out tables so that visitors can enjoy dinner while looking at the moonlit path on the sea.
