The church, located in the Tegel district, was built at the end of the 19th century on the site where an old Russian cemetery had previously been located. Like many other Berlin Orthodox churches, it is made of brick and has the shape of a tent roof.
Interestingly, soil brought from Russia was used in the arrangement of the cemetery and church grounds. But despite its origin, this is the territory of Germany, so although the Church of Saints Constantine and Helena belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church, it actually belongs to the city authorities, who in no way agree to transfer it to the ownership of the Russian Orthodox Church.
