A huge 30-thousand-sq.-m plot of land, where the spirit of trade has reigned since the XVIII century, is simply impossible to ignore during a city tour. In Vladimir, Torgovye Ryady were already known in 1787, when local merchants decided to make life easier for themselves by building specialized premises for trade on Bolshaya Moskovskaya Street, which was quite convenient for this purpose. The result was a grand quadrangular pavilion with a large inner courtyard. The classicist-style project was designed by architect Nikolai von Berk, inspired by the galleries of Gostiny Dvor in St. Petersburg.
Over its centuries-long history, Torgovye Ryady underwent many alterations; today only the southern line of the old complex has survived, and even that in a slightly rebuilt form.
Today, Torgovye Ryady are the largest shopping and entertainment center in the entire Vladimir Region. You can spend the whole day shopping here - visitors will find a wide variety of stores and boutiques. You can also visit numerous cafes and restaurants. While moms and dads empty their wallets, children can have fun in the entertainment club "Fokus Pokus," where fun activities, cartoons, and other delights of life unavailable to adults await them.
