Many Mumbai residents come to Aksa Village on weekends to take a break from work and relax on the clean beach to the quiet splash of sea waves monotonously rolling onto the shore. There is a very wide sandy strip here, with enough room for everyone - both locals and visitors, and the most enterprising villagers rent out private cottages. In addition, there are several hotels here.
Before the sprawling Mumbai engulfed Aksa Village and effectively made it part of the suburb of Malad, this beach was "terra incognita" - a deserted place almost unknown to city residents. Later, word got out, and lovers of peaceful recreation began coming here.
At Aksa Beach, it is not recommended to swim far from the shore, because strong currents are very dangerous even for experienced swimmers. The water here is clear and pleasant, which is not often found in this region of India, so many people prefer to simply walk along the water's edge and splash themselves from time to time to cool off from the heat of the sun.
Soft drinks and Indian fast food are sold in the nearby tents, so you will not go hungry. Oddly enough, there are almost no pushy souvenir and food vendors here.
