Sometimes you want to escape from noisy developed beaches with bars, massage parlors, and crowds of people to be alone, relax without amenities, but in peace and quiet.
Samui has such a "wild" place - Taling Ngam Beach, which is located in the southwestern part of the island. There are very few visitors here and almost no signs of classic beach service.
Although the sea here is clean, it is very shallow; at low tide the silty bottom with remnants of coral, sometimes quite sharp, is exposed, so you should not walk barefoot.
In fact, the beach is not intended for swimming: it is too shallow here even at high tide, but you can rent a boat and go for a ride, enjoying the boundless crystal-clear sea and observing the underwater world.
In the northern part of the beach, coconut groves come right up to the shore, creating a wonderful landscape, as if straight from advertising postcards. The southern coast is rockier, with vegetation-covered cliffs hanging over the sea.
Despite the lack of civilization, Taling Ngam Beach remains that very paradise corner that the most romantically inclined vacationers are so eager to reach, in order to be alone and enjoy the beautiful views.
