Crocodiles in Thailand are distinguished by incredible showmanship and good manners - such a conclusion can be drawn by visiting the crocodile farm on Samui. It is a fascinating attraction visited by almost all tourists who come here for a vacation.
The farm covers an area of about 7 thousand square meters, and is home to around a hundred crocodiles, alligators, and caimans of several species, including the Siamese crocodile, which is listed in the Red Book.
Dangerous predators take part in daily shows that run from 12 to 17 hours. Crocodiles do not ride bicycles or play football, but they do display miracles of restraint when trainers perform incredible tricks with them – pulling them by the tail, putting their head, arm, or other body parts into the animal's jaws. At the end of the performance, the bravest spectators can even touch a live toothy reptile and scratch its back.
The Farm also presents a snake show — quite an interesting spectacle, during which the "charmers" entertain the audience by skillfully handling venomous reptiles. In addition to crocodiles and snakes, the Farm's enclosures feature other representatives of the local fauna: monitor lizards, iguanas, monkeys.
