Here you can see the most beautiful sunset in all of North Goa and enjoy the absence of rocks. A characteristic feature of Ashwem Beach is the “silver” sand, which shimmers in the sun like a real jewel. In fact, the gray оттенок comes from the silt of the river flowing into the sea. However, the usual “golden” sand can also be found on this beach.
Ashwem differs from many beaches in several ways at once. First, a palm grove stretches along the entire coast, generously offering its cool shade to vacationers. Second, the social infrastructure is not as developed here as on other beaches, so it is commonly considered deserted. Of course, this is not entirely true: there are enough people here, just fewer than is usually the case in Goa. Third, kiting is very developed here — riding the waves on a board under a large kite.
Despite some underdevelopment of the service sector, there are unique offerings here. For example, La Plage street offers a menu of cuisines from all over the world: from French and Italian to Vietnamese and Thai. People also come here for shopping; the only boutique in the north of the state, “PAPА-DJOLI,” is located here, and Russian tourists are very fond of it.
