The most beautiful sunsets in Thailand can be seen from Phromthep Cape – the southern tip of Phuket. It is located between two beaches – Nai Harn and Rawai, and the name translates from Thai as “Cape of God”.
This place is extremely popular among tourists because of the magnificent views that open up from the observation deck. No one leaves the island without taking a few photos in the style of “me against the sunset.” By the way, since this is one of the highest points on Phuket, people are advised to gather here in the event of a tsunami threat.
Before enjoying the evening panoramas from the observation deck, you can visit some interesting sights. In addition to numerous souvenir shops and stalls with local delicacies, there are more fascinating places to visit here.
First of all, there is a lighthouse, inside which there is a museum built in honor of the 50th anniversary of King Rama IX's accession to the throne. The golden top of the lighthouse is decorated with elephant statues, and you may enter the lighthouse, which looks more like a temple, only barefoot. Inside you will see a collection of items dedicated to seafaring, and at the very top there is a panoramic view of the entire cape.
If the lighthouse looks like a temple, then the real Brahma Temple here looks like a small house, around which there are many elephant figurines of different shapes and sizes.
