In 1990 in Munich, in the luxurious Nymphenburg palace complex, an interesting natural history museum called “Mensch und Natur” – “Man and Nature” – was opened. Its four sections divide the collection into exhibitions devoted to the history of the Earth and life forms, biological diversity, the place of humans in nature, and their role in shaping the environment.
The museum offers an introduction to scientific research in an interesting and entertaining format. Reproductions, models, and installations clearly convey important information about the Earth's biosphere to visitors, while incredible audio-visual programs and interactive displays captivate and turn dry scientific facts into a fascinating journey through natural history.
