A pleasant addition to a trip to Hatta Rock Pools is a visit to the historic village of Hatta, which gave this natural wonder its name. The settlement is more than 2 thousand years old, and today it is home to an ethnographic museum. In the village you will find a reconstructed defensive fort, a mosque, and museum houses: a household museum, a folklore museum, a house of public traditions, a military weapons museum, and a crafts house. You will be introduced to the everyday, musical, wedding, and ritual ceremonies and traditions, as well as the crafts and military affairs of Arab villages of the past.
By the way, not far from Hatta is the oldest mosque on the Arabian Peninsula - Juma Mosque.
