Galleria Riga is the newest shopping center in the capital of Latvia. On the seven floors of this megamall, there are more than 100 shops and boutiques of world-famous clothing and accessory brands. The first floor is occupied by a grocery supermarket, while the second through fifth floors offer an enormous selection of clothes, shoes, lingerie, jewelry, and children's goods. On the sixth floor, there are home and interior stores, book departments, and beauty salons. You can grab a bite and have coffee, taking a break from shopping, at the huge food court on the seventh floor.
Curiously, shopping is by no means the main reason why Galleria Riga is included in almost all modern tourist itineraries. Most visitors to the capital come here for the chance to go up to the eighth floor of this grand shopping center, because that is where the largest observation deck in the Baltics is located, along with the luxurious restaurant «Terrace Riga». It serves European cuisine and sushi, and 4 bars offer alcoholic beverages and cocktails to suit every taste.
But the most fascinating part of visiting this restaurant is the enchanting view from the observation deck - a circular panorama of old Riga. The magical romantic architecture of Art Nouveau, the soaring spires of historic buildings, tiled roofs immersed in lush greenery, the shining domes of churches… You will never forget this fairy-tale view!
