“Greenhouse” is a whole chain of popular coffeeshops in Amsterdam, meaning cafes where you can not only drink coffee and have something to eat, but also legally smoke marijuana. The main establishment of this chain is located in the Red Light District, between Dam, the central square of the Dutch capital, and, in fact, the Red Light District itself. Besides its convenient location, the “Greenhouse” coffeeshop can boast that it has won the Cannabis Cup several times — the weed in this establishment was recognized as high-quality (and it is not all that cheap).
The atmosphere of the establishment is very pleasant: the room is filled with cozy semi-darkness, photos of celebrities who have stopped by hang on the walls, and for those who want privacy, there are special cozy “caves.” Those who have been to the “Greenhouse” coffeeshop say that you should not go to this place just like that: it is only for those who really want to smoke marijuana.
