In the very heart of the Olympic Park in Sochi is “Medals Plaza” – the Celebration and Awards Plaza. From the name it is already clear that all award ceremonies for Olympic champions, as well as festive concerts and public celebrations, will take place here.
The main “highlight” of this plaza is also that you can watch the progress of competitions at various sports venues in the mountain and coastal clusters in real time. All important matches and Olympians' performances are broadcast on a huge screen.
Next to the screen there is a stage where every evening, starting at 18:30 local time, evening shows featuring trendy DJs, as well as folk ensembles and ethnic groups, will take place. During the champions' award ceremonies, not only Russian but also foreign performers will appear on stage, for example, “Haddaway”, “Brainstorm”, and others.
In addition to the Olympic Village, “Live Site” venues will also be located in several other places: Adler, Dagomys, Lazarevskoye, and the main square of the Rosa Khutor ski resort. Among the major Russian cities included in the “Live Site” project are Moscow, Omsk, Voronezh, Krasnoyarsk, Tyumen, Krasnodar, and others, so now you can cheer for our team not only while sitting at home or in a bar, but also in a large square in the city center surrounded by thousands of fans as enthusiastic as you are.
