Despite the fact that the best observation deck in Tallinn is considered to be the one on Kohtu Street, the observation deck near the Patkuli stairs is no less popular among travelers. From here, a panorama opens up mainly over the industrial part of the city, but it is hard to imagine a better view of St. Olaf's Church and the preserved city wall. Just count it - from here you can see 9 medieval towers at once!
If you look to the left, on the horizon you will be able to see the islands located at the entrance to Tallinn Bay in the Gulf of Finland. In the same direction are the green city districts, where wooden apartment buildings built in the 20s and 30s of the last century have still survived.
And if you turn around and walk a little deeper into the Upper Town, you will soon see the classical-style Stenbock House, which now serves as the residence of the Prime Minister of Estonia.
