In Budapest there are not only therapeutic mineral springs, but also one of the largest water parks in Europe. Yes, this is not just an indoor pool, but an entire complex consisting of several facilities.
One of them is the indoor water park. Its area is more than 3000 sq.m, and its height is comparable to a 7-story building. The dome and walls are completely transparent. Across this huge area there are 15 pools with different water temperatures, 11 slides, about 20 saunas, as well as a real Russian banya, a Turkish hammam, and a jacuzzi. In addition, there is a cafe and a bar with refreshing drinks.
The water park is open year-round, so even in the harsh winter you can plunge headfirst into summer. Inside, all the attractions and pools are united by one amazing structure - an exact copy of the Angkor Wat temple, which is located in Cambodia.
By the way, each attraction has its own name: flying carpet, kamikaze, whirlwind, and even black hole. Thrill-seekers can also try the springboard, go surfing in a special pool, or tackle the obstacle course in the outdoor area.
The water park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can buy a ticket for two hours and, if you like it, extend it for as long as you want. At night, aqua parties are often held here, famous DJs come, competitions are organized, and lots of other interesting things happen.
