The Istanbul Sapphire skyscraper is the tallest building in Istanbul and all of Turkey. 261 meters and 54 floors proudly rise above the ancient city. This skyscraper, built by the architectural firm Tabanlıoğlu Architects, is located in the business district of Levent (Levent). The building has a shopping center, apartments, restaurants, and, of course, an observation deck. From the observation deck, located on the 54th floor, you can admire a breathtaking panorama of Istanbul. A 360-degree view - amazing vistas are guaranteed!
As on practically any observation deck in the world, here you can use binoculars for a small fee. Through them you can make out ships in the Marmara Sea waiting their turn to pass through the Bosphorus, the red roof tiles of Istanbul's houses, numerous mosques; perhaps someone will even see Maiden's Tower or the Princes' Islands. It is precisely from this place that the feeling is created that Istanbul is endless. Europe and Asia, West and East, and the horizon of all this disappears into the haze...
In 2011, Frenchman Alain Robert, or simply "Spider-Man," attempted to conquer the tallest building in Turkey. During the ascent, he almost fell, but his safety rope saved him. The leg of the brave Frenchman climbing the surface of the skyscraper slipped from a ledge almost at the very top. Despite the slight hitch, Alain still managed to complete the ascent. It took the climber about two hours to conquer the skyscraper.
