Updated for 2026: ZheTo is still a lovely pick for a slow coffee-and-cake break in central Odesa, though it's always wise to check current hours before you go.
Cafe ZheTo sits at the corner of Mayakovsky Lane and Havannaya Street in central Odesa. Despite the pastry-like sound of the name, it actually comes from its founders, Zhenya and Tolik. Inside, the cafe feels like a cozy 19th-century drawing room, with soft lighting, quiet music, ticking clocks, porcelain dolls on the shelves, lace curtains, satin cushions, and plenty of desserts to choose from. Regulars often recommend the Kyiv cake, along with the almond, poppy seed, and Napoleon cakes.
It is widely considered one of the most stylish cafes in Odesa. Come for the sweets and generous portions, stay for the excellent tea list and the warm, attentive service.
