“Costantini” is one of the oldest enotecas in Rome. It was opened in 1972 by a young married couple - Piero and Rosy Costantini. As is well known, an enoteca differs from an ordinary wine shop in that here you can taste the drinks before buying them.
Tastings at “Costantini” are a whole event. First, all the wines here are of high quality. Moreover, not only Italian ones, but French as well. Second, the selection is so wide that you can lose track of time looking over and tasting different varieties. The shop offers not only wines, but also liqueurs, whiskey, brandy, grappa and gin – about 4000 varieties in total. And third, you can immediately choose the most suitable snacks here – cheese, carpaccio, salami, bruschetta, canapes or olives. Lovers of strong alcohol will surely appreciate the cigars sold here. And women should definitely try the chocolate.
We help plan a trip to Rome – Travel planner and guide for iPhone or Android. Hundreds of attractions, ready-made walking routes, the ability to create your own routes, an offline map and GPS. Everything you need for an interesting trip.
Although the enoteca is located in the very center of Rome, the prices here are much lower than those displayed on bottles in Russian stores. Therefore connoisseurs already know: it is better to buy wine here (after trying several options first), pack it well and go home with peace of mind, without even entering duty free. The prices are about the same, but the pleasure from the purchase and tasting is incomparably greater.
