In the very center of Berlin, in the Alexanderplatz area, on Muhlendamm street, there is a very unusual museum. At the entrance hangs the famous identifying sign - a five-leaf symbol that is simply impossible to miss. Welcome to the Hemp Museum!
Its collection is quite small and consists of 5 cozy rooms. Here you will find information about the role this plant plays in the culture of different peoples around the world, and how it is used in medicine, cosmetology, and other areas of life. Also on display are tools for harvesting and growing hemp, as well as products woven from it. No less noteworthy is the large collection of pipes and hookahs, exhibited among all kinds of themed pictures, posters, and documents.
The museum's main goal is to show that hemp is not just a drug, but a wonderful multipurpose and useful plant. In a special greenhouse, you can even watch how hemp grows, and in the museum bar, try tea made from it!
For true fans of this plant, hookahs, smoking pipes, calendars, posters, and many other themed souvenirs are available for purchase.
