Opened less than two years ago, the cafe «Maman» on Lanzheronovskaya Street is located in the immediate vicinity of the Opera Theater and occupies the first floor of a two-story building. The second floor houses the apartments of the same name. An important advantage of the cafe «Maman» is the direct passage into the green Palais-Royal garden, which is located to the left of the main entrance to the Opera.
As in many other cafes and restaurants in Odessa, the emphasis in the interior design and the menu is placed on what is close to each of us — mom's and grandma's cooking. However, in «Maman», an attachment to tradition is combined with a readiness for innovation: the chefs prepare dishes using recipes from world-famous culinary stars — for example, Jamie Oliver. For breakfast at «Maman», they serve poached eggs, omelet, cottage cheese pancakes, crepes, and Greek yogurt with granola.
The friendly waitresses may be dressed in cocktail dresses and approach guests with an elegant handbag: this is how the unusual presentation of the most ordinary dishes is thought out here.
The understated British-style interior is pleasing to the eye and makes you want to visit this cafe more often. And the convenient location makes that desire quite achievable :)
