The "Tropicarium" oceanarium was opened on the first floor of the Campona shopping center in May 2000. Its construction was sponsored by the Hungarian businessman Карой Фаркашди.
As you can easily guess from the name, "Tropicarium" introduces visitors to tropical flora and fauna, although there are some exceptions as well. The entire entertainment center is divided into several thematic zones:
fish that inhabit African and Asian fresh waters (there are even piranhas among them); Hungarian fish (sterlet, rainbow trout, eel, dwarf catfish); an aquarium with sharks (there are four species represented here at once); a pool where stingrays swim (here you can feed them and even stroke them); a hall with alligators (from time to time it features a very realistic tropical downpour that lasts a quarter of an hour); reptiles, spiders, and insects (scorpions and turtles also live here); exotic birds, pygmy marmosets, and snakes from the rainforests. It is worth noting that the birds fly around the hall without any restrictions. In short, a visit to the "Tropicarium" oceanarium will give both children and adults unforgettable impressions!
