Updated for 2026: WestEnd City Center remains a convenient stop if you want shopping, food, and a break from sightseeing in central Budapest. Expect a modern mall experience with international brands, casual dining, and easy access from Nyugati Station.
WestEnd City Center is one of the largest shopping and entertainment complexes not just in Budapest, but in Hungary as a whole. It opened in 1999 beside Nyugati Station, one of the city's main railway hubs.
Inside, WestEnd feels a bit like a city within a city: you'll see signs for its internal streets and squares, and near one of the entrances there's even Niagara Square, marked by a fountain inspired by the famous waterfall.
All told, WestEnd City Center has around 400 retail units, with plenty of fashion brands among them, including Marks&Spencer, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Mango, and H&M. The complex also has a large multiplex cinema where you can catch both standard and 3D screenings.
On the lower level you'll find a supermarket and a wide choice of cafes and casual places to eat. WestEnd also offers bicycle parking, and the rooftop is used seasonally, including an ice rink in winter.
