Prague has long held the status of a liberal city free of prejudice. The Czech Republic is one of the first and few countries in the world where many types of drugs were legalized. Therefore, perhaps one should not be particularly surprised by a museum displaying devices for sexual pleasure, even if with a certain air of "perversion."
Across the three floors of the Sex Machines Museum, all kinds of sexual fetish fantasies are on display, at times literally beyond comprehension. Wardrobes, artificial penises, devices used to combat masturbation among teenagers, stimulators, the first condoms, genital piercings, and other toys. What is also curious is that there is a historical exhibition here as well - some of its exhibits are more than 500 years old! And especially popular with museum visitors is the hall where black-and-white porn from the early 20th century is shown.
The founder and owner of the Sex Machines Museum is Orianno Bizzocchi. The idea of creating such an establishment came to him when he was assembling a collection of exhibits for another notorious project - the Museum of Curiosity in San Marino. Separating the sexual segment from the rest of the collection, Bizzocchi opened in Prague a unique sex-themed exhibition space covering 600 sq. m. The museum's founder says that there is nothing abnormal or vulgar in toys of this kind, because sex is something everyone engages in.
