The eastern edge of Old Town Square is lined with museums. Alongside the National Gallery branch in Kinsky Palace and the modern art collection in the House at the Stone Bell, this private gallery devoted to Salvador Dalí and Alfons Mucha is one of the square's more unusual stops. It sits in a historic building beside Týn Church, just off the busiest part of the square.

If you like Dalí or Mucha, this gallery is well worth a short stop. Because the exhibition is drawn from private collections, you may see lesser-known works rather than the images reproduced in every guidebook. The owners describe the Dalí display as one of the largest in Central Europe, spanning prints, sculptures, paintings, ceramics, and wood engravings. Much of it focuses on the series he created after Dante's "Divine Comedy".

Mucha gets less space here, mostly through posters and graphic works rather than a full survey. For a deeper look at his art, head to the official Mucha Museum in Kaunitz Palace at 7 Panska Street.
