Riera Baixa is a tiny street in the center of Barcelona, one that you can stumble upon either with the help of locals or purely by accident. And that's a shame, such original places should be marked with signposts.
This street is considered a true paradise for students and young people. The whole of it is one huge shopping row, where nearly every building is a stall. It is important to note that these are not stores of popular brands, but tiny shops with goods for true fashion lovers, hipsters, and even nonconformists. Here you can find shops with gramophone records, shoes and "stone-washed" jeans from the 60s and 70s, all kinds of handmade accessories, glasses, souvenirs, necklaces, bracelets, coins, photographs, books, and many other trinkets.
In essence, this place is something between a city market and a flea market. Here you can find both new items and vintage "second-hand" goods.
By the way, the walls of the buildings on Riera Baixa are decorated to match the goods being sold - many of them have been originally painted by contemporary graffiti artists.
