“L'Aquàrium de Barcelona” is considered one of the largest aquariums in Europe. It is located practically in the center of the Catalan capital, not far from the Columbus Monument.
More than 8000 marine creatures and about 300 species of fish live here, and most importantly, there is a huge glass tunnel located right under the water. It is about 80 m long, so while walking through it, visitors feel as if they are walking along the ocean floor. Or rather, riding, because there is a moving walkway in the middle of the tunnel. This was done so that visitors would keep moving rather than stand still with their mouths open at the beauty before them. Although it is still unknown who is watching whom: people watching the swimming fish or the fish watching the people gliding by on the walkway. :)
The most impressive spectacle at the Barcelona Aquarium is rightly considered to be the shark feeding. These huge predators are famous for their sharp teeth, which are replaced like on an assembly line: one falls out, and another from the adjacent row moves into its place. And there can be from 4 to 20 such rows! They talk about this and many other features of sharks during the feeding presentation. We recommend finding out the exact time of the “lunches” in advance and taking the most convenient seats in the viewing hall.
In addition, be sure to take a look at such a "marvel" as the ocean sunfish (it is also called mola-mola). It lives off the coast of Japan and sometimes reaches 3 meters in diameter!
