The streets of big cities have a certain feature - over time they once again, just as they did hundreds of years ago, become suitable for walking. An abundance of shops, architectural monuments, and other interesting buildings makes it worthwhile to give the street over to the many tourists and admirers of iconic historic places. That is how, in 1996, another pedestrian street appeared in Milan.
Via Dante is filled with various boutiques, little restaurants, and bars. But, as you understand, the name of the great poet implies that this street should also be home to a large number of theaters (in parentheses, let us note that this is indeed the case). In addition, it is probably worth mentioning with pride that the Piccolo Theatre, located on Via Dante, opened, no less, with the premiere of Maxim Gorky's play «The Lower Depths».
Remarkably, the residents of Milan managed to preserve in the appearance of this street certain features of past centuries and, at the same time, bring into its modern image the spirit of our time. We strongly recommend taking a walk here - for shopping, to get acquainted with the city's sights, or simply for no particular reason - while enjoying Milan. This place is definitely worth a visit!
