The Prague chocolate museum is a branch of its Belgian counterpart and ranks among the ten best chocolate museums in the world.
For visitors' convenience, the entire collection is divided into three halls: in the first, guests are invited to learn about the main ingredient of chocolate - cocoa. The second hall tells the story of the beloved treat itself, while the third features a huge collection of wrappers and inserts. Here you can even find a wrapper from the Soviet "Alenka"! In addition, this hall contains special tableware in which chocolate was prepared and served in different eras.
Perhaps the nicest thing about visiting this museum is that they start treating you to chocolate as soon as you buy a ticket. Here's a secret for those with a sweet tooth - before your visit, stop by the chocolate shop at the museum first, where you will be given a coupon that lets you receive an entire bag of candies for free in the exhibition halls themselves!
Besides that, in this shop you can buy exactly what everyone actually comes to the museum for. Regular and hot chocolate, delicious fudge, as well as special cocoa powder that you can use to try making the treat at home. It is worth noting that prices in the shop are somewhat above average, but shops located at museums are never any different.
And in the Choco-Story halls themselves, we strongly recommend attending the chocolate-making workshops. They are held every hour, and here you can roll up your sleeves and try yourself in the role of a chocolatier!
