Where it is located: Oudezijds Achterburgwal, 106–108, right in the heart of the Red Light District (De Wallen). From Amsterdam Centraal, it is about a 10-minute walk through the Old Centre.
Updated for 2026: Expect tighter crowd control in De Wallen, especially on weekends. Book ahead if you can, carry ID, and check the latest show times and entry rules before you go.
How to get in: You can buy tickets online at casarosso.nl or at the theater entrance, subject to availability. Shows run nightly. Nearby are the Erotic Museum, the Sex Museum, and the medieval Oude Kerk, so it is easy to combine them into one walk.
What is important to know: De Wallen is one of Amsterdam's oldest districts, and local rules are taken seriously. Do not photograph people in the windows, and keep noise down in the streets. The area is generally busy, well lit, and easy to navigate.
Casa Rosso is easy to spot thanks to the pink elephant on the facade in Amsterdam's Red Light District. Inside, the theater stages an adults-only revue with explicit live performances.
The program usually runs for about 90 minutes and is built around a series of short acts. Think acrobatics, burlesque-style staging, and explicit couples performances rather than a conventional theater show.

Casa Rosso has long been one of the best-known adult venues in the city, so queues can build up in the evening when De Wallen is busiest. If you are curious, buying ahead is the easiest way to avoid waiting around.
Not far from Casa Rosso, you will also find the Erotic Museum, which makes an easy stop on the same walk. If you want to lean fully into Amsterdam's edgier side, the Sex Museum is nearby too. And if you want a whole evening built around the city's more notorious attractions, follow our Forbidden Amsterdam route.
