The Butterfly Pavilion is delight, amazement, wonder! It is located in the historic center of Vienna - in the Burggarten garden next to the Hofburg imperial residence. You step inside and find yourself in a magical tropical forest, where huge butterflies of all colors and sizes literally fly right past you. It is worth noting, however, that it can be difficult to stay in this pavilion for a long time - it is very hot inside, the temperature is about +28°C, and the camera lens fogs up instantly.
The butterflies in this pavilion are so huge that they simply take your breath away, especially when they circle above you and suddenly (oh, wonder!) gently land on your head or shoulder. There are dozens, hundreds, if not thousands of them here, freely fluttering above the tropical greenery and small waterfalls.
The butterflies feed on sweet nectar with which the petals of artificial flowers in special feeders are soaked. During their "lunch," the insects form stunning, amazingly beautiful "inflorescences" together with the flowers.
There is also a special incubator in the pavilion where you can witness the wonderful moment when new butterflies emerge from their chrysalises.
