Guazzoni House was built at the beginning of the 20th century based on a design by Giovanni Battista Bossi and named after Giacomo Guazzoni, a local architect who also had a hand in the construction of this building.
What truly made this house famous was the decoration of its facade. The entire facade seems to be covered with ceramic ornaments by Brambilla and Pinzauti, bas-reliefs of angels, and engravings.
The design of Galimberti House also came from Bossi. This building was constructed at the very beginning of the 20th century, and 60 years later the Milan authorities granted it the status of an architectural monument. The facade of this house, covering an area of 170 sq. m, is also literally covered with sculptural refinements.
Interestingly, when restoration work was being carried out in Galimberti House at the end of the 1990s, builders unexpectedly discovered floral motifs on some of the interior walls, similar to those found on the facade.
