Urban Transport in Prague

The Prague metro consists of three lines and 57 stations and operates from 5:00 to 24:00. Most of the city is covered by a network of tram and bus routes, including night ones. The cost of a standard ticket for all types of transport (valid for 90 minutes) is 32 koruna, and for children it is half the price. Tickets for 1 day (110 koruna) and 3 days (310 koruna) are also available. Prices may change and are given as an example.

The Prague metro map is available in higher resolution and on the official website.

Taxis in Prague are yellow cars with a TAXI sign on the roof. The front doors of the car must display the carrier company's details and the rates. After the trip, the driver must issue a printed receipt showing the price. The approximate base fare is 35 koruna, and the price per kilometer starts from 15 koruna.

For those who like to plan everything, we recommend downloading our free mobile app - Travel Planner for iPhone and Android. By downloading it, you can not only use ready-made routes around Prague and create your own, but also fully plan your trip to Prague. Hundreds of attractions with descriptions in Russian, ready-made walking routes, offline maps and GPS - download it now.

We recommend that tourists use the PRAGUE CARD tourist card, which provides free access to 40 major museums and attractions, a sightseeing city tour, and discounts in shops, restaurants, etc. The cost of the card for 2 days for adults is 37 koruna, for children under 16 and students - 24 koruna, for 3 days - 41 and 29 koruna, for 4 days - 50 and 35 koruna.
