Prague Airport. How to get to the city.

Аэропорт Праги. Как добраться до города.
Коротко о том, как добраться от аэропорта Праги до города. Предлагаем варианты: общественный транспорт, такси или арендованная машина.

Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (Letiště Václava Havla Praha) is located 20 km from the city. You can get to the center by public transport, special express buses, pre-booked taxi, or by renting a car. Let's look at each option in detail:

Public transport or express bus

  • by buses No.100, 119, 179. Travel time is from 20 to 45 minutes depending on the destination, fare is 40 crowns when buying a ticket from the driver, 32 crowns at the ticket office or ticket machine.
  • by the Airport express bus. Travel time to the central station is 30 minutes, ticket price is 60 crowns.

This is a good option for most travelers. But if the bus does not suit you, for example, if you have large luggage, small children and strollers, or you do not know how to get from the stop to the hotel, it is worth considering booking a transfer from Prague Airport to your hotel.

Transfer from Prague Airport to the hotel

You can take a taxi at the airport itself. But sometimes situations happen – huge lines for taxis or you absolutely do not want any surprises. For such cases there is an excellent option to book an individual transfer from Prague Airport in advance. This service is provided by KiwiTaxi – it will take you to any point in the city, and even before departure you will know exactly how much this trip will cost. Book an inexpensive taxi in advance!

Car rental in Prague

For absolute freedom of movement, we recommend renting a car. With it, it is convenient not only to get from the airport to the city, but also to visit the ancient castles, of which there are as many as 7 within a radius of 50 km from Prague! And how do you like the idea of taking a day trip to Karlovy Vary or Cesky Krumlov? Tempting? The largest database of rental cars can be found on the RentalCars website, which aggregates offers from several companies at once.

On our own behalf, we would like to remind you that we are experts in travel planning, and our smartphone app "Travel Planner for iPhone and Android" – is the first assistant for those who love to travel in an interesting and eventful way. The app will help you plan and organize each day of your stay in Prague. For those who have little time to prepare – free ready-made walking routes. In short, download it without delay.
