The fastest and most comfortable way to get to Prague from the CIS countries is by plane. From Moscow or Saint Petersburg, direct flights operated by Aeroflot or Czech Airlines will take you to the capital of the Czech Republic in about 2.5-3 hours. From Kyiv to Prague, the same Czech Airlines and Ukraine International Airlines fly, and the journey takes only two hours.

For those who love trains and are in no hurry, an interesting option can be a trip to the Czech Republic by rail. It will, of course, take much longer than a flight, but you will experience the romance of a long journey and get some sleep to the sound of the wheels.
Several trains run from the Belorussky Railway Station from the Russian capital to the Czech one. The regular Moscow-Prague train takes about 30 hours, but there is also the fast Vltava train, which will get you to your destination in a day.
From Vitebsky Railway Station in Saint Petersburg, you can get to Prague in 36 hours.
From Kyiv, you can get to the Czech Republic on the Kyiv-Przemysl train. This journey will also take about 36 hours, but you can spend 7 of them sightseeing in Krakow, where the through carriage is attached to the Krakow-Prague train.
There are also bus routes to the Czech Republic, but spending one or two days sitting even on the most comfortable bus is a doubtful pleasure.
Of course, most travelers prefer to fly to Prague. But the cost of tickets plays an important role here; you will hardly want to pay almost more for them than for the rest of your trip combined. You can find the cheapest flights to Prague on Aviasales, and our review will help you understand how it works.
