No, this is not the beginning of a scary story, it is a clue to where to find the only Fluorescent Art Museum in the world. Its other name is Electric Ladyland, in honor of Jimi Hendrix's album of the same name, which was released in 1968 and is considered the artist's finest work and one of the best rock albums of all time.
Once inside, you will understand why the museum bears the name of a music album that is one of the examples of psychedelic music - the entire exhibition of the fluorescent museum can be described in one word: psychedelia. A blend of bright colors, strange shapes, mysterious symbols - and all of it glows, shines, and shimmers in the darkness of the basement space.
When visiting the museum, be sure to turn on some classic rock on your smartphone - this will make your impressions and sensations as complete and vivid as possible.
But not only admirers of pop art, rock, and the atmosphere of the 70s will find the Fluorescent Museum interesting to visit. Those who are curious about the very nature of fluorescence will find a lot to learn here. The collection has three sections: a huge collection of fluorescent stones from all over the world, artificial glowing sculptures and paintings, as well as unique organic specimens.
The tour is conducted personally by the museum's founder, Nick Padalino, who will enthusiastically and lovingly tell you about his brainchild and will even ask you to put on soft felt slippers to avoid damaging the valuable minerals with street shoes.
