Safari Park at the foot of the Markhot Ridge is not just a beautiful and picturesque zoo. One of the few rehabilitation centers for animals harmed by people or circumstances works here.
Most of the animals living here are former circus performers, former living "props" for resort photographers, babies left in the forest without their mothers, and injured or sick animals. Here they are treated, fed up, and placed in comfortable conditions.
Spacious enclosures with trees and ponds allow the animals to live as they would in the wild, and visitors to observe them in natural conditions. Tigers, lions, bears, and wolves live alongside monkeys, camels, roe deer, and ponies. There are many exotic birds here; there is even an albino python and multicolored lizards. The park has an epicenter of cuteness - a separate zone called "Our Children," where little bear cubs and tiger cubs, baby coatis and buffalo calves, young roe deer, and wolf pups live.
Visit the 200-meter cave in the mountainside, where you can see stalactites and stalagmites, an underground lake with newts, a bat hall, and a collection of minerals from the Caucasus and the Black Sea.
The Maritime Museum will introduce you to the history of seafaring in these places: the exhibition includes pirate relics, the suits of the first divers, and optical illusions on the theme of shipwrecks.
From the safari park, you can go up by cable car to a height of 640 meters. The 20-minute ride will take you to the top of the mountain, where you can walk along mountain paths or sit in a cafe, enjoying the magical panorama of the bay, the sea, and the mountains.
