Mud volcanoes are an amazing natural attraction of Krasnodar Krai. These lakes with semi-liquid mud rich in minerals and salts were formed as a result of tectonic plate shifts. There are several large mud volcanoes on the Taman Peninsula, and buses regularly run to them from Anapa.
The Tizdar mud volcano is located in the settlement of Za Rodinu, and the volcano's crater is only 50 meters from the Sea of Azov. The mud at Tizdar is rich in hydrogen sulfide, bromine, iodine, and organic substances. The rich composition of the blue clay will make your skin soft and velvety. The healing mud in the volcano crater has a jelly-like consistency, and although the bottom of the crater is deep, it is impossible to drown here: the gray-blue slurry pushes a person back up to the surface.
After having their fill of playing in the mud volcano, the gray little people happily head to the Sea of Azov to wash the clay covering their bodies off in its warm waters.
