The charming and cozy Balu Zoo is located on Pionersky Prospekt in Anapa. Children and adults often come here to spend some time watching animals and birds.
The zoo opened quite recently - in the summer of 2012, and all the animals here are kept in excellent modern conditions. The park grounds are very neat and well maintained, and it is pleasant to be here, strolling past the enclosures with the animals. An environment has been recreated for the animals that is as close as possible to their natural needs.
The star among the local inhabitants is considered to be a unique white tiger - the only one on the entire Black Sea coast. Among the other predators, lions, crocodiles, leopards, as well as fierce bears - brown and Himalayan - can be noted. Among the smaller animals, you will see intelligent raccoons, pompous llamas, cheerful monkeys, capuchins and macaques, energetic rabbits, and lazy seals. Deer, donkeys, ponies, and many other interesting creatures also live here.
