A walk along the Central Embankment of Anapa is like an excursion through the history of the entire city. There are many attractions here connected with the past and present of the seaside resort. The embankment stretches for more than one and a half kilometers - from the Sea Port to the Anapka River, so get ready for a long and fascinating journey along the azure edge of the water.
The most noticeable sight, of course, is the Anapa Lighthouse, proudly adorning the Alley of Love. A mandatory stop on any excursion is the observation deck at the top of the lighthouse.
The archaeological museum-reserve “Gorgippia” will transport you to the distant past, while “Russkiye Vorota,” the remains of an 18th-century Turkish fortress, will take you to not such distant times.
Along the embankment of Anapa you will see monuments to various legendary figures. For example, to A.S. Pushkin, who mentioned the city in his poem “Tazit.” There is also a monument here to V.A. Budzinsky, the founder of the resort on the site of Anapa. He was the first to discover that the local mineral waters have healing properties.
