Audioversum is the newest interactive exhibition introducing visitors to all the subtleties of one of the five main human senses — hearing. All the high-tech stands, interactive panels, and devices in the museum halls are dedicated to sound.
How the human hearing mechanism works, how the ear is structured, how sound travels, and what it is like to live for people who are hard of hearing or completely deaf — all this and much more you will be able not only to learn, but also to experience for yourself.
The 12 halls of Audioversum will give you several incredibly fascinating hours. The installation "Beethoven's Hearing" will let you experience how the great composer created divine music even after losing his hearing — the method of bone conduction helped him. In another hall, you will experience the sensations of hard-of-hearing people in the surrounding world.
3D glasses will help you on a journey through a virtual human ear, during which you will learn how sound gets inside and how our brain recognizes it. In the hall of acoustic illusion, you will make many discoveries about the nature of sound and understand how easily our hearing can be fooled. One of the most entertaining halls is the binaural game hall: here you need to hear the singing of imaginary birds in headphones and free as many birds as possible by moving toward their chirping.
