Mozart, the great son of Salzburg, managed in his short life to reach the heights of every musical genre. His legacy includes numerous symphonies, operas, arias, and other works written in a wide variety of styles, and this musical classic will remain eternal.
To get to know Mozart's творчество more closely and touch the most intimate thing of all – the creative workshop of the legendary composer, it is worth stopping by the Mozart House Museum, which is located on Makart Square (formerly Hannibal Square).
In 1773, Mozart's family exchanged their modest little apartment for more fashionable apartments and settled in a spacious three-story house, occupying an entire floor. This building was constructed in the 17th century, and from 1711 it became known as the “Dancing Master's House,” where people of noble birth were taught dancing. The new home suited Mozart quite well; he lived here until 1780, managing to write several symphonies and operas, as well as a great deal of church music.
At the Mozart House Museum, you can see an interesting exhibition telling about the composer's youth, his studies, friends, interests, and how he created his masterpieces. A nearby shop sells classical music recordings, souvenirs, and themed literature.
