The unique House of Nature in Salzburg is considered one of the most beautiful and extensive educational museum-zoos in Europe. The five-story building with 80 halls can captivate adults and children for an entire day, because the museum's exhibits are incredibly interesting: there are many unique exhibits, rare animals, and interactive objects that help you learn about the world of wildlife.
One of the largest aquariums in Europe, housed in 40 tanks, demonstrates all the diversity and beauty of the underwater world. Here there are marine and freshwater inhabitants from all continents - hundreds of species of fish and mollusks amaze the imagination. The reptile zoo consists of 56 terrariums, in which 200 species of amphibians and reptiles live - lizards, frogs, snakes, turtles, and even an alligator.
An exhibition on prehistoric times delights visitors with huge dinosaurs, one of which roars and moves, frightening impressionable guests. In the Ice Age hall, you will learn many new things about the structure of the Earth and various minerals. The space exhibition impresses with a diorama of the Moon landing, models of fantastic cities of the future, and models of spacecraft.
Separate - and very interesting - exhibits are devoted to humans. How our body and all its systems function, how new life begins, what it is like to be disabled, and how humans interact with nature - all this needs to be known not only by children, but by adults as well.
An exciting visit to the House of Nature will give you deep knowledge about nature and humans in the form of a fun game.
