The opening of the unique Cultural and Educational Center named after V. Tereshkova was timed to coincide with the 1000th anniversary of Yaroslavl. Locals nicknamed this complex the Planetarium. However, this is not just a planetarium, because it would be hard to find a more technologically advanced facility anywhere in Russia, allowing its visitors to study space and everything connected with it.
Projections of the starry sky and other 3D images are displayed on a large 12-meter dome, and 3D glasses are not needed to view them. You are completely immersed in the boundless ocean of the living Universe with its planets, stars, and galaxies.
A real observatory, equipped with a mirror-lens telescope with 600x magnification, allows you to observe the stars in the evening and at night. The telescope is powerful enough to even see sunspots!
At the Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, you can look into the past and relive all the stages in the development of this science, from the first satellites to modern spacecraft. Here you can even become a spacecraft pilot for a while. This experience is available in the 5D attraction "Shuttle".
