Museum Embankment — that is what they call the district on the southern side of the Main because of the high concentration of such institutions. There are 13 of them here, including the museum of communication, which is also called the communications museum.
Founded in 1955, it makes its visitors remember the times when mobile phones did not exist. People communicated over distances through public call offices, telegrams, and letters sealed in envelopes. The addressee of such messages on the other side of the world received not only sparse text, but also a certain mood. War, a wedding, the birth of a child - any event, personal or global, in the life of an ordinary person did not pass without the anxious expectation of a letter or a phone call. Online communication is nothing like it!
Antique fax machines, mailboxes, postmen's uniforms, telephones, telegraphs, - the museum is devoted to the history of the development of communication tools. A separate part of the exhibition is a story about the modernization of postal transport. Here you will learn how letters were delivered from one point to another at different times. For clarity, a specialized train set with postmen is presented. Children will be delighted by a ride in the mail coach, do not deny them this pleasure.
