An incredibly interesting journey into the mysterious world of natural studies, natural science, and the history of Tatarstan can be taken right in the center of Kazan. Here, on the territory of the Kremlin, in the building of the national gallery "Khazine," is the Museum of Natural History of Tatarstan, opened in 2005 and instantly gaining popularity among residents and guests of Kazan.
The museum's collections are very extensive – the museum has two floors and several themed halls. The "Space Halls" introduce you to astronomy – samples of real meteorites are kept here, and interactive installations show distant planets and galaxies. In the "World of Minerals" you can see a large exhibition of various stones – malachite, granite, marble, and many others. The second floor looks especially attractive to children. No wonder, because this is where full-size skeletons of tyrannosaurs, ichthyosaurs, and other dinosaurs are kept. Further on, following the chain of evolution, the exhibits will gradually lead you to mammals.
